FOOD.

Childhood snacks, yup we're going back - I'm not that old but shhhhh i remember some just pretend!
(ALL OF THIS ARE IN THE UK, MAY BE IN OTHERS BUT I DONT KNOW)

The concept of a snack is something that is not big enough to be a meal but its just something to either keep yourself occupied or keep you from being hungry for a couple of hours. Over the years there has been some serious changes in the food that we eat whether it be if some have gone extinct or the price has changed or new flavours have been introduced. Aiea memory lane... lets take a look.

The first one we should start of with are those little lolly pop strawberry and yogurt swirly ones that you used to by in the supermarkets with your parents if you was good. But no matter how long i research around, i just can not find the name of them, they seemingly are gone, forgotten, POOF. I used to love those little lollies, they used to taste so good until one day they wasn't there. Now there ARE alternatives, but they can never beat the real taste, they look a little like these but on sticks:
Anyone know what i mean?

Another one that i have, remember when freddo's weren't expensive little chocolates and there was only a plain flavour?! My corner shop used to sell them for 10p! Now they cost 25p! ITS AN OUTRAGE!!! It felt like my childhood heart snapped in two...

DREAM WHITE CHOCOLATE. Give me a second while i stop drooling.... Alrighty I'm all good. If you have never heard of dream chocolate then i am seriously shocked as they used to be part of the Heroes chocolate boxes until they stop being manufactured in the UK. Ouch, it hurts just thinking about it. This used to be the first chocolate i dived for out of the box as i couldn't stand hearing it calling me and someone else eating it. Im sorry if you are not a liker or lover of white chocolate but I'm so passionate about this retro chocolate i can rant about it all day.
Yummmmmm

I hope you enjoyed this blog and can relate to some point of this blog. Please feel free to me about your snacks that are now extinct or at an price which makes your heart shatter every time...

To you all, I'm just a Hidden Identity...

    1. All those snacks are what i love to eat/drink. Not the biggest fan of wotsits but they're a good snack too :)

  2. I remember those red and white lolly things! I have a distant memory of them being sugar free, according to their overly cheesy advert! Oh - how I used to beam as I ate them in excessive quantities, thinking that my dentist would be proud of me.

The Freddo situation is becoming utterly ridiculous. I wouldn't be surprised if I was to walk down to my local corner shop to buy one, only to be asked to provide my entire college fund in exchange for one.

I'm starting to come to the conclusion that the current lack of Cadbury's Dream in our nation is perhaps one of the fundamental problems of our society.
