Something that is really starting to P me off is technology. This sounds really bad coming from a teenager but gosh its starting to go too far now!
So let me tell you a story:
*Flashback noise or Baymax fist bump noise*
So I was out with some family members in a really cool fun place and i walk through the middle of it and WHAT DO I SEE?! A 7 year old sitting on an iPad! Out of everything that was in this place (which is freaking awesome may i add) they decide to go on an iPad and play Flappy Bird or Pirate Kings. WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK?!
Yes i own technology, but in no way shape or form, if i am out with friends or family in a really cool place where i can have fun or it is important to someone, i will not touch my phone (unless everyone else is using it but thats very rare). So if a teenager can understand this, why can't a little child?!
And guess where the parents were... next to them. On their phones. COME ON YOU CRUEL WORLD!!! There are so many things that you can do and you chose to sit at a table covering in drinks and sit there on technology?! You people sicken me if you do that, it may sound harsh but there is a right time and place to use technology or phones or iPads and some places are just not THOSE places, know when to use them.
Look if you are one of those people and you may be bored, i understand. But here are some alternatives:
- TALK to people - not text, snapchat, call, Facebook message etc etc. Actually talk face to face with them. And if they are not there then tough luck, be sociable.
- Make your own games! It can NOT be that hard because if you can do it on your phone you can take those ideas and turn them into reality without the screen. Throw paper at cups to knock them over, go explore or do what you are there for e.g jungle gym.
- Play with siblings or parents. You are NEVER too old to join in, trust me its the best thing someone can do. If you don't have siblings or you're parents wont play, make up an imaginary friend. Simples.
Now this may seem like a bit of rambling but i really did want to bring it to peoples attention that there are the right time and places to be on your phones as i said before but when out in public, in a place full of opportunities behind that little screen, go do it and embrace the time you have to do it. Make memories.
Hidden Identity :)
This is all so true! I have noticed things like this happening around too. This generation is starting to go downhill a lot more than it already was!
ReplyDeleteGreat post by the way! Keep it up.
